1/31 The Principles of Design: Proportion Students will begin a Mary Blair inspired castle painting using the element of line which we will continue to add to this month to learn about the principles of design.

2/14 The Principles of Design: Pattern Students will finish their castles by adding pattern with chalk pastels, cut it out, then mount it on their colorful background they created last week.

11/1 and 11/8 - Students will review line, texture and color and create a lion using glue, markers and watercolor paints.

9/27 and 10/4 - The Elements of Art: Texture Students will learn about texture and create a hippo using glue, markers and watercolor paints.

10/11 - The Elements of Art: Value Students will learn about value and create a simple black, white and gray cat.
